Unlike other brands that specialize in one skateboard component, Primitive has established themselves as a one-stop shop for everything skateboarding, including hard goods, apparel, and accessories. I figured I would just remove my old griptape, apply the neoprene and then some standard griptape over top of that.ġ - Has anyone here taken a DIY approach to replicating this? What did you use?Ģ - Has anyone here ever seen or used hydroturf on ESK8? I'd sooner get the ONSRA pads because of cost, but I'm just curious.Primitive Skateboarding is an American made skateboard brand founded by Paul Rodriguez in the summer of 2014. I found a bunch of "Poron XRD" neoprene sheets that are big enough to cover my board on Amazon, but I don't think or really know if that solution will work, because it seems like the material rips pretty easy, but that might not matter if there is a layer of griptape sitting on top of it. When looking at the product description for Pushin Cushin it says it uses some "Poron XRD" type foam made out of polyurethane (not neoprene). I may still go with 1 of these, but I am strongly considering the DIY route. Not sure of the quality and they are fairly expensive. Only 2 things I could find currently available are these ONSRA hexagon pads and a sheet from Exway with their logo on it. Landyaughts doesnt sell that style of griptape. I would go with Loaded's Pushin Cushin, but it's OOS everywhere. Probably going to get some cloud wheels pretty soon, but want to change this out first. I instantly envisioned replacing my standard griptape on my G2-black to make riding a little more comfortable. I checked out a Landyaughts board with foam padded griptape.
